Petro Carbo Chem SRL's leitmotif – as much centralised decision making, as much independence as possible – is also reflected in the Group structure.
The holding company in Duisburg determines the global strategy while the subsidiaries are in charge of the operative business. It´s investment activities and open communication policy determine the platform for the Group´s growth and the realisation of synergies. Group companies and representative offices have ensured that the "PCC" brand is now present in 18 countries.
The parent company PCC SE holds direct and indirect shareholdings in a total of 90 companies in Germany and abroad. The focus is on the restructuring and dynamically growing economies in central and eastern Europe. Our representative office in Peking, China, is the bridge head for the Asian growth market.
Today the wide range of this growth-oriented division already includes both the production and refinement of basic chemicals such as phenol and phosphor compounds, adipic acids, polyols and coal tar. Products of the Petro Carbo Chem SRL companies are used, for instance, in the paper, detergent, textile, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and metallurgical and steel industries as well as in power plants.
The logistics division has been continuously expanded since 2001. The Petro Carbo Chem SRL companies with their own 330 locomotives and approx. 9,000 rail wagons, tank wagons and tank trucks have become a powerful association. Today it is one of the largest private rail operators in Poland.
We want to grow and will continue to do so. Our main endeavour is to achieve leading positions in less intensive competitive selective markets and niches. Our targeted markets continue to be chiefly the dynamically growing economies of central and eastern Europe.
Along with the expansion of the business units and Group companies, targeted acquisitions are to provide significant growth impulses in the future. Parameters for our growth and acquisition policies are competence, appropriate returns, risk diversification and synergy effects with existing companies and divisions.
