Bucharest Equity Research Group SA



BERG is the first Romanian rating agency authorized by National Securities Commission and was founded in 1997 by 10 enthusiastic investment advisors, former employees of research departments in leading brokerage houses.

The ranking service STAAR (Scala Tendintelor de Apreciere a Actiunilor Romanesti) was launched in October 1998 for companies listed on Romanian capital markets.

STAAR quantifies the non-systematic risk of investing in shares of the companies listed on Bucharest Stock Exchange and RASDAQ.

In 1998 the "Prize for Capital Market Transparency" was awarded to this product by the financial magazine "Financial Market" and ever since the service has been successfully used by commercial and investment banks, investment funds and financial investment services.
